Many brides-to-be start their flower planning by choosing their bridal bouquet. Traditional brides may want to go with roses in white, cream or pale peach colors, while those who want their bouquets to pop may choose exotic or seasonal blooms in their wedding colors.

Instead of the typical candles surrounded by petals or floral arrangements in vases, consider using a floral runner as the centerpiece. Greenery surrounding stunning flowers is the perfect way to decorate a long rectangular wedding table.

Modern wedding cake designs can be virtually anything a couple desires. However, even a contemporary design can incorporate flowers. Purchase a cake topper from your florist or have blooms cascade down the side of the cake. Most skilled decorators can make any bloom you desire using fondant or gum paste. Remember to add petals and other floral arrangements to the cake table to complete the look.

If the location has possibilities for unique flower arrangements, take advantage of it. Use petals to make a heart shape in the sand where the bride and groom will exchange vows at a beach wedding ceremony. When there is a pool or fountain of water, add some floating arrangements. Whatever the location is, there are plenty of ways to customize the space with wedding flowers. Take photos of the spot to the florist for help choosing unique floral pieces for the area.

Finally, don't forget to add a little floral decoration to the getaway car. Brides and grooms who rent a classic car or limousine often have their photos taken with this special vehicle. Decorate it for the occasion using bouquets and other blooms.
